ویلنگٹن: نیوزی لینڈ نے کپتان برینڈن میک کولم کی شاندار ٹرپل سنچری کی بدولت بھارت کے خلاف دوسرا ٹیسٹ ڈرا جب کہ سیریز 0-1 سے جیت لی ہے۔
نیوزی کے ویلنگٹن گراؤنڈ میں کھیلے گئے دوسرے ٹیسٹ میچ کے آخری روز بلیک کیپس نے اپنی دوسری نا مکمل اننگ کا آغاز کیا تو کیوی کپتان برینڈن میک کولم 281 اور جمی نیشام 67 رنز پر بیٹنگ کر رہے تھے، برینڈن میک کولم 302 رنز بنا کر ظہیر خان کا شکار بنے جبکہ نیشام نے شاندار بیٹنگ کا سلسلہ جاری رکھا اور 137 رنز بنا کر ناٹ آؤٹ رہے۔ بھارت کی جانب سے دوسری اننگ میں ظہیر خان نے 5، محمد شامی نے 2 اور رویندرا جڈیجا نے ایک وکٹ حاصل کی۔
نیوزی لینڈ نے اپنی دوسری اننگ 680 رنز 8 کھلاڑی آؤٹ پر ڈیکلیئر کر دی اور بھارت کو جیتنے کے لئے 435 رنز کا ہدف دیا تاہم کھیل کے اختتام تک بھارتی ٹیم 3 وکٹ کے نقصان پر ویرات کوہلی کے 105 رنز کی بدولت 166 رنز بنا پائی۔ اس سے قبل بھارت نے اپنی پہلی اننگ میں 438 رنز بنائے تھے جبکہ نیوزی لینڈ نے اپنی پہلی اننگ میں 192 رنز پر ڈھیر ہو گئی تھی۔ نیوزی لینڈ کے برینڈن میک کولم کو شاندار بیٹنگ پر میچ کا بہترین کھلاڑی قرار دیا گیا۔
واضح رہے کہ نیوزی لینڈ نے بھارت کے خلاف پہلے ٹیسٹ میں 40 رنز سے کامیابی حاصل کی تھی جب کہ 5 ایک روزہ میچوں کی سیریز میں بھی 0-4 سے کامیابی حاصل کی تھی۔
